Tired of standing in the booth? Feeling trapped, confined? Curious as to what downrange really feels like? It’s time to get moving. Join us for a special 2-hour session dedicated to the very thing people crave: competition. This introduction will focus on what to bring, what to expect and what to do. Etiquette, safety, gear requirements and gear placement along with tips and tricks from the very people that design the courses you run will be explored in a relaxed setting. The session will end with a course of fire, run exactly as it would during our regular Wednesday night steel shoots. Each participant will have the opportunity to shoot through the course multiple times, gaining expert feedback along the way.
Please note: This is for beginners only — those who are looking to join us for some competitive fun at future events and want to gain a little confidence before coming in cold.
This class is not for Nick S., Nick B., Scott, Matt, Mark, Chuck, Austen, Michael, Stephen or Freda… we’ll see you guys on Wednesday nights as usual!
Time: There are two sessions: one starting at 5:30 PM and one starting at 7:30 PM.
Gear requirements: All participants must wear closed toed shoes and pants with a belt. This course will require you to reload your firearm so you will need a mag pouch. If you do not have one, SEG can provide one for you.
Gun requirements: Pistol. Though this is a friendly competition, no lasers can be used. We do have firearms available for rent, if needed.
Ammo requirements: Only frangible, unjacketed ammo will be allowed. Shooters can purchase from SEG or call prior to the event to confirm personal stock of frangible is acceptable. Please plan for a minimum of 50 rounds.
Participants: Shooters must be ages 15+ (Under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian)
Ticket cost does not include firearm rental or ammunition.
