In partnership with the Virginia Shooting Sports Association (VSSA), SEG is hosting a teacher appreciation firearms training. The training will follow the concealed carry curriculum that VSSA has provided to educators across the state.
We are waiving the $125 training fee as our way of thanking you. The only costs associated with the training are your ammo and if needed, handgun rental.
Choose from June 20th or June 23rd. Each training date is limited to 20 participants.
This training focuses on the laws governing concealed carry in Virginia to include Justifiable Force and Individual Protective Rights. Our instructors also provide you with a complete overview of the basics of managing unknown contact, basic shooting skills, situational awareness, and equipment/clothing considerations. This training meets the Virginia state requirements and includes classroom instruction and live fire range drills. The training will be taught by Nationally Certified instructors. The course will give you the foundation you need to understand your rights, Virginia law and the basic responsibilities of carrying a concealed weapon.
Cost: Free for Virginia teachers (must show Virginia school system ID)
Participants: 20 Students ages 21 and Up
Duration: 5 hours
Time: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (bag lunch required as it will be a working lunch)
Ammunition Required: 50 rounds (available for purchase at SEG)
Required Gear: Pistol (available for rent at SEG)
Recommended Gear: Pen and Paper
Gear Provided: eye and ear protection
Skill Prerequisites: No prior experience required
