This course is designed to advance our students’ capabilities with the shotgun in a more dynamic environment. An environment that will test the students’ current abilities while strengthening their competence and confidence in a defensive situation with the shotgun. Students will participate in numerous dry / live fire exercises, timed scenarios, and a series of progressive drills to enhance their proficiency and their ability to run the gun.

The core of the course is focused on skills reinforcement, use of cover and concealment, alternate shooting positions, ammo management, tactical and emergency reloading, moving and shooting, multiple target engagement, introduction to problem solving and a defensive shotgun challenge. Step out of the box, into the dynamic, and take your training to the next level.

Participants: 6 Students Ages 16 and Up. (Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)

Duration: 4 hours

Ammunition Requirements: 55 rounds slug, 45 rounds buckshot, and 12 rounds frangible to be purchased at SEG the night of class​

Required Gear: Shotgun, eye protection, and ear protection. Please note that all shotguns must have sights and stock. Pistol grip firearms (such as the Mossberg Shockwave, for example) are not allowed in this course.

All equipment, to include shotguns, is available for rent at SEG.

Recommended Gear: shell pouch or ammunition holder

Skill Prerequisites: Level 1 Defensive Shotgun
