YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW A VALID FORM OF CITIZENSHIP ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS ** \nThis is our introductory handgun course that provides an excellent overview to the world of firearms and is perfect for the first-time owner or new shooter. This course is a great way for people who are new to handguns\, just want a refresher\, or desire an understanding of the fundamentals\, to develop their skills in a fun\, safe environment. Our certified instructors will cover safe firearms handling procedures\, general handgun knowledge\, the fundamentals of marksmanship\, as well as the proper care and storage of firearms. This class will deliver a solid foundation to build upon and give beginners the skills they need to become responsible\, confident shooters. \nCost: $150.00 \nParticipants: 10 Students Ages 15 and Up (Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) \nDuration: 3.5 hours \nAmmunition Requirements: 50 rounds \nRequired Gear: Pistol\, eye protection\, and ear protection. \nAll equipment\, to include handguns\, is available for rent at SEG. This course is designed to ground our students in the fundamentals of shooting; to master anything\, one must first master the fundamentals. The course will focus on your safety\, mindset\, immediate and remedial action\, round placement\, target acquisition and self-confidence. \nThe instruction emphasizes the natural progression of each individual student. Our instructors focus on understanding your unique strengths and weaknesses\, and strive to develop your individual skills. We begin with an initial assessment of each student and progress according to skill level. The objective of this course is to familiarize the shooter with the essential elements of effective shooting in order to build the shooter’s fundamentals to a proficient level.
