The class focuses on safety\, practical defensive shooting\, shot progression\, multiple target engagement\, alternative shooting positions\, shooting while moving\, target acquisition/discrimination\, hard pointing\, defensive pistol challenge\, and above all – self-confidence. \nThe critical learning objective of this course is to familiarize the shooter with the essential elements of effective shooting in real world situations. The instruction emphasizes the natural progression of each individual student. Our instructors focus on understanding your unique strengths and weaknesses and strive to develop your individual skills. You will have access to two separate ranges\, each with a different course of fire\, engaging a diverse set of targets. \nAs a participant\, you will move from firing-point to firing-point on the range\, engaging targets at each station while being presented with a unique problem to solve. Come and experience the unlimited fun of shooting reactive steel targets with safe\, purpose-made frangible ammunition and expert range safety officers guiding you through each competitive stage. \nGear requirements: Strong side OWB (outside the waistband) belt holster that retains its shape\, 3 magazines\, mag pouch\, and belt. All participants must wear closed toed shoes and pants with a belt. This course will require you to reload your firearm so you will need a mag pouch. \nGun requirements: Pistol. Though this is a friendly competition\, no lasers can be used. This course is a great way for people who are new to handguns\, just want a refresher\, or desire an understanding of the fundamentals\, to develop their skills in a fun\, safe environment. Our certified instructors will cover safe firearms handling procedures\, general handgun knowledge\, the fundamentals of marksmanship\, as well as the proper care and storage of firearms. This class will deliver a solid foundation to build upon and give beginners the skills they need to become responsible\, confident shooters. \nCost: $150.00 \nParticipants: 10 Students Ages 15 and Up (Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) \nDuration: 3.5 hours \nAmmunition Requirements: 50 rounds \nRequired Gear: Pistol\, eye protection\, and ear protection. \nAll equipment\, to include handguns\, is available for rent at SEG.
